Notre Dame Junior School Physical Education Programme includes all strands of the National Primary Schools P.E. Curriculum. The emphasis is always on participation and enjoyment. Everyone is included and all have the opportunity to develop their personal skills & fitness levels. P.E. is taught undert the instruction of specialist P.E. teachers who ensure that every student enjoys sport and training.
We are very lucky to have modern indoor & outdoor facilities, which ensures PE takes place twice a week, come rain or shine! We also have a wide range of age relevant equipment which is enthusiastically enjoyed by all classes. As they progress through the school, the girls have many opportunities to participate in both team & individual sports.
Hockey is taught weekly in P.E. and there is also free hockey coaching for Prep 3 to Prep 6 students on a Tuesday afternoon. The girls participate in tournaments, blitzes and league matches against other schools throughout the year.
Notre Dame Euphrasians Hockey Club train on Sunday mornings for children from K2 to Prep 6.
