School Garden

Our school garden or living Classroom is a great educational resource for our school and an important part of teaching an integrated range of subjects in an enjoyable and fulfilling way.

Not only does it demonstrate important examples of native habitats, biodiversity, the balance of nature and the web of life; our garden also teaches our students children how to grow organic fruit and vegetables. Our horticulturally designed garden produces a wide array of produce from berries to pumpkins and cabbage to courgettes.

All students get hands-on practical lessons in the lifecycle of plants from seed to fruit and get to see the fruits of their labour, even getting to brring them home. These gardening sessions help to promote sensory, experiential and fun learning which helps to develop a well-balanced individual, whilst at the same time fully supporting our Green Flag Programme.
